Native Tree Planting

Conservation Volunteers NZ regularly organizes volunteer days open to everyone to participate in keeping and restoring NZ native bush. On the 12th and 20th of September with it being spring it was the perfect time to do some planting. On this particular day, we planted just over 600 trees and shrubs at Sanders reserve while keeping our social distance of course.

We participated in this volunteer day as everyone can make a difference in the health of our environment and society. Through their projects, we got involved by planting and caring for native trees, and helping to make our natural spaces accessible to everyone. Their projects focus on restoring our wild places and protecting this beautiful natural environment we are lucky enough to call home.
