Brownfields integrated subdivision – 26 new houses, Auckland

Land Partners was engaged as lead engineering consultant to facilitate the design this new social housing development in South Auckland. This consisted of a subdivision involving 3 sites on one street where 9 existing standalone houses became 26 new homes. Our group company architects at ‘Design Partners’ were also engaged to design a mixture of typologies including: standalone, duplex, and terraced, including larger family houses of four bedrooms.

 

Land Partners, responsible for achieving the civil engineering approval including three waters. Our Stormwater solution involved computer modelling, analysis and design for extensions to the existing network infrastructure and creating a new drainage system for the 3 new subdivisions. Wastewater required extensions of the existing systems to accommodate these new sites. The design of the new water supply required evaluation of existing supply network and ensuring the new design complied with both local council and watercare standards. The team designed new internal access ways and pavements to compliment the new development. Design Partners we were able to integrate architectural design and engineering requirements seamlessly.

 

Construction is now underway. Our Engineers are involved right through to site observation to ensure the project was constructed as per consents approved (EPA).
